307 Wake Sports ("we," "us," or "our") operates the WakeLink mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use WakeLink.

By using WakeLink you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information we collect

We collect the following information when you create an account and use WakeLink:

Full name and email address
Home lake or body of water
Role (captain or rider)
Boat details (captains only) — boat name and type
Rider profile information — experience level, trip preferences, and what you bring to the table
Messages sent between captains and riders within the app
Trip history, reviews, and ratings
Device push notification token (for invite and message alerts)

Payment information

WakeLink offers an optional Wake Pass subscription for riders. All payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card number or full payment details. Stripe handles all payment data in accordance with PCI DSS standards. Prices shown include any applicable taxes.

How we use your information

To create and manage your account
To display your profile to other users (captains see rider profiles, riders see captain profiles)
To facilitate connections between captains and riders
To send push notifications for invites and messages
To process Wake Pass subscription payments via Stripe
To display trip history, reviews, and ratings
To improve and maintain the app

Information shared with other users

WakeLink is a community platform. The following information is visible to other users:

Your name, home lake, experience level, trip preferences, and "what you bring" description are visible to captains browsing the crew feed
Captain profiles including boat name, boat type, home lake, and ratings are visible to riders
Reviews and star ratings are public to all users
Private chat messages are only visible to the two parties in that conversation

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides enterprise-grade database security including row-level security policies. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information will be removed from our active databases within 30 days. Some information such as reviews may be retained in anonymized form.

Children's privacy

WakeLink is strictly for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will immediately terminate that account and delete all associated data. By using WakeLink you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

Your rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Opt out of push notifications at any time through your device settings

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy in the app or sending an email. Your continued use of WakeLink after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
